Book Review: Starflight

OMG this book was soooo good. I mean, seriously. Okay, I love Alienated, the other book written by this author, but Alienated was more of a fluffy, romance kind of book that included aliens and stuffs like that. But STARFLIGHT was on a whoooole new different level. It’s way more than just romance, way more than just aliens in space. Well, okay there wasn’t any aliens. BUT it’s about people living way beyond Earth, like people living in outer space and Landers wrote is so well that it makes me feel like I’m the one who’s living in the book. more »

Book Review: Rebel of the Sands

Okay, I may be just a litttttle bit biased in my review BUT I LOOOOVE THIS BOOK because it features a female sharpshooter. And not just any sharpshooter, but a bloody good one. From the very first page of this book, till the last, I love it so much, and I dare say that this is by far one of my favorite books of 2017. I haven’t read much this year thanks to exams, but hooooly, this book makes me wanna reread it over and over again. I think it’s safe to say that I am in love with Amani, more »

Book Review: Our Chemical Hearts

Lyn: So, Our Chemical Hearts. It has some strengths and some gaping weaknesses.  It had a lot going for it, but I wish I had liked this one enough to have it go above three stars. Did you feel that it was outstanding or stood out for a contemporary read? Kara: Not really. I liked it enough to finish it, but it wasn’t really my thing, unfortunately. I didn’t connect with any of the character emotionally, and I feel I should have because there were some particularly emotional scenes that should have evoked some kind of feeling inside me, and more »

Book Review: Outlander

Be still, my beating heart. Guys, I am officially in love with Jamie Fraser. I mean, HOT DAMN. HOTTTTT DAMN. I actually got pretty interested in Outlander when Sasha from A Bookutopia keeps spazzing about how this was her favorite book and such. And the thing is, I am always interested to read people’s favorite books, because I wanna know if they’re REALLY GOOD. I mean, people don’t just deem an average book as their favorite book, no? But anyway, yeah, so when I saw this book at the library, I KNEW I had to pick it up! I was SO into this book more »

Book Review: A Court of Mist and Fury

I’ll try to remain as spoiler-free as I can, but unfortunately can’t guarantee due to it being a sequel. If you have not read this book yet, then here’s your warning now. Read reviews of any sequels at your own risk. Okay, let me get some things off my chest before I really get going… If you’re a huge Tamlin fan, you’re going to be severely disappointed in his lack of appearance in this installment. Lucky for me, I am a Rhysand fan. There’s a lot of Rhysand. It’s clear by the end that he’s more than just an extra male more »

Audiobook Review: Every Last Breath

Okay, so I’ve actually been re-listening to the audiobooks of the previous two books in this series because I wanted to refresh my memory before listening to Every Last Breath, and I have to admit, reading about Roth again makes my heart squeal like ssjkdgafgkjfg. BE STILL, MY BEATING HEART. HAHA. Every Last Breath was everything I expected and more. I mean, it’s Jennifer L. Armentrout, and she is definitely one of those authors that never ceases to amaze me with her writing, and amazing story lines. This whole trilogy ended with a bang, and I could never be more more »
