Book Review: Blood for Blood

HELLO THERE. I am back huehue. It’s been a truly long while since I last wrote a review on this blog. Life has been prettttty hectic since the start of 2017 and it took me a long while to get used to school life. I even had to shut down my personal book blog because it did not seem wise to continue it when I haven’t blogged in almost a year. BUT ANYWAYS. Back to the review! It’s safe to say that this book broke me, shattered me, killed me. I mean, HELLO WHAT IS THIS. For someone who isn’t a more »

An Adult, A Young Adult, and A Middle Grade #2

I’m back for the second edition of An Adult, a Young Adult, and a Middle Grade! I’ve been doing lots of reading, and I have some short reviews of those books that I’ve been enjoying! Just to remind you about this feature: I’ve been going through some major, MAJOR blogger burnout. I haven’t felt like writing reviews and I’ve only wanted to read. Book after book after book. Let’s be real. Writing reviews can be a really tedious thing if it’s not something that feels like a strength. For me, it isn’t. I’ve never felt like I was great at more »

Book Review: Nowhere But Here

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: THE THUNDER ROAD SERIES IS NOW MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE NEW ADULT SERIES To be honest, I was quite dubious about reading this book because me and New Adult genres usually don’t get along well. BUT OH MY GOD, THIS BOOK IS FREAKING FANTASTIC. And Oz is hella sexy. Though, I have to admit that I was quite intrigued by the motorcycle club part, because not gonna lie, I actually had the same opinions about them as the other characters in the book did. I thought this book would have a lot of slang, and yknow, those typical biker-gangsta more »

Book Review: City of Savages

I heard A LOT about City of Savages when it first came out. I don’t know why, but it was everywhere on Twitter, on Goodreads, on blogs. I bought it back then and fully intended to read it, but then psyched myself out, because I was afraid I wouldn’t like it, and I didn’t want to be disappointed. I’ve done this with so many books, by the way. I still haven’t read the sequel to The Diviners by Libba Bray. On a whim, and because I had time to read a book I owned and not an ARC, I finally more »

Book Review: The Last Time We Say Goodbye

I think I started reading this book at midnight and it killed me, omg it seriously killed me. Okay, maybe I should have known that this book would make me bawl like a baby, from the title of the book, but SIGH it’s just so good, and heart breaking and I need more. The Last Time We Say Goodbye was touching, sad and poignant. It will make you wish you had paid attention to those people who you lost more, and make them listen to how much you appreciate them and are there for them. It was a bloody damn emotional more »

Book Review: No and Me

Every now and then I have a tough time deciding what to read next. Lots of people have TBR jars. I think this is a fantastic idea, but I’m a bit too lazy for that. So what do I do? I random.org it. That’s how I ended up choosing No and Me. I knew I wanted to read an ebook, so I opened my Kindle, tallied up how many there were, went to random.org, and let the site choose what I should read. It doesn’t always work because sometimes it picks a book I am completely not in the mood more »
