Review: Spill Zone

Wow. I haven’t read a graphic novel in a while, but I’m really glad I took a chance with this one. Yeah, the fact that it’s Scott Westerfeld plus an illustrator I am familiar with and does work that I like, helped, but just the same I loved this little gem. The art is just stunning. That picture doesn’t honestly do the art justice. The colors are just vibrant and the sketches are immersive, and it helps that the story is incredibly weird and well-written. It’s three days after Christmas and I would venture a guess that hardly anyone is reading blogs right now. They are playing with their new gifts, eating yummy leftovers, and reading, reading all the new books they are going to get. Which is great but not such a good thing for this post.
