This is a great story collection! Some stories were better than others. and my ratings ran from high to low, but there is definitely something here for everyone. Some of the stories put you in the mood for Christmas more than others, and there were a couple that didn’t even really feel like holiday stories. But regardless of all that, this is an anthology that’s definitely worth reading. It helps to read it near the holidays, but I wouldn’t say it’s necessary. I don’t usually do the short story thing. When I see them at the book store, even in the YA/MG section, I just pass right over them. To me, they seem like they’re teasers for some potentially awesome books. That is just my take – I apologize to the short story enthusiast. I enjoy getting very invested in a novel. It’s been a really long time since I read If I Stay. I didn’t like it. It’s been so long though, that I can’t quite recall exactly why. I just remember that it was highly predictable. I didn’t feel any tension and I knew the whole time that Mia would be staying. Also that the romance was kind of ugh, especially in the face of Mia losing her ENTIRE FAMILY.
