Blog Tour: Between The Blade and the Heart by Amanda Hocking (Review + Giveaway)

Hey everyone! So, I am so excited to announce that I am on the blog tour for Amanda Hocking’s Norse-themed fantasy, Between The Heart and the Blade! I was very excited to participate because, well, Valkyries! I thought this was a perfect book to go ahead and ease back into blogging, and to kick off my first review for 2018! See my review below, and there is a give away at the end! (Us only) It is no secret that I love all things Norse – so I was stoked to read a series titled “Valkyrie” when I was more »

2017 End of Year Bookish Survey

Huge thank you to Jamie over at Perpetual Page Turner for hosting this survey again! Seven years and running! This wasn’t the best of years for myself in any way – reading, personal, medically – so this is one of the saddest lists that I have created since blogging. But here is to the next year, and I really hope to start finding some sort of love for blogging, reading, and conversing online again. The best way to start, personally, is to try something familiar.   Number Of Books You Read: 25 total books (5 DNFs) Number of Re-Reads: 0 more »

I loved that a PoC was on the front, I loved all the little pictures and how sci-fi it seemed right from the start. So I had to pick it up. The premise was just perfect as well: I loved that the synopses was very unapologetic and I loved that technology and safety with online data was the central theme of the novel. I hadn’t heard anything of this one before the release (which I’m not surprised from Disney) but I decided to more »

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Books that I Bought Based on the Cover

TOP TEN TUESDAY IS HOSTED BY THE BROKE AND THE BOOKISH. While Jamie continues to enjoy her lovely little sweetheart baby (awww!!!), I’m still catching up on all the TTT topics I missed while sick/recovering, or generally just want to revisit. Book covers – I’ve always loved this topic, and I’m happy to come back to it, since I have added a lot of books since I last completed this one. Today, I’m sharing the books I bought based on the cover. I was either convinced because of the graphics on the front, or I was persuaded because I couldn’t pass more »

[Imaginative Discussions] One Month Surgery Anniversary!

Hi everyone! In case you haven’t noticed, I had a break (again) from blogging and Twitter from the middle to July until this week. I was back on track, ready to start blogging again. But there was something going on behind the scenes that I was having issues with, and it all finally came to a head the second weekend in June. I’ve been struggling with gall bladder pain for a while, and since around April, it has been non-stop low level pain from the region. I have a family history of gall bladder issues, so I knew what needed more »
