Book Review: This Night So Dark

I’m not the biggest fan of the new novella trend. Typically, I find them to be a waste of money and time. They very rarely are worth the $1-3 dollars they cost. However, I had to make an exception because 1) this one was free, and 2) I looooooooooooved Lilac, I love Tarver, I love Lilac and Tarver together. Lots of love. When I read These Broken Stars last winter, I completely fell in love with everything about the book. This is one of the few OTPs I can think of that are simply perfect together. Imaginative Discussions: Wrapping Up All My BEA and NYC Fun!

Prepare yourselves for an emotional post. I’ve been putting this off for a while because I just haven’t felt emotionally stable enough to write it, and the fact is, I just don’t think I am ever going to be unemotional about this topic so maybe I was meant to write it this way. I don’t know if there is a saying for this or anything, but I always say “You don’t know what you are missing until you find it.” more »

Lyn at BEA

Lyn here, talking about BEA (I know, there are a million post-BEA write-ups floating around on the internet at the moment).  I have to say, it was one of the best experiences in my life. BEA was THE best convention I have ever attended, and the company was beyond fantastic. The books I got were great, but I have to admit, they all came in second to the wonderful memories I have of New York. Stacking the Shelves #88

Stacking the Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews Bekka here!  Hooooly shit, I hope you are comfortable because you are in for a long ass post.  I am exhausted.  We all just got back from BEA a few days ago, and I’m still not right from the trip.  If you’re interested, my short, little recap was posted earlier this week.  The gist:  I HAD A BLAST.  A huge part of the awesome factor was the people, which I went into during the recap.  The other awesome part? Books!  First I’ll show you some ebooks I got outside of BEA from more »

Bekka at BEA

My spectacularly lame pic of our spectacularly beautiful view BEA was absolutely incredible.  I went in with one plan:  get to know my co-bloggers better, meet all the awesome people I talk to on Twitter, and grab three books that I absolutely needed.  I definitely accomplished these, but of course it wasn’t without a few hiccups, like I forgot my freaking business cards two BEAs in a row! I rode the Greyhound bus to NYC from Asheville, an 18 hour ride that nearly killed me.  But when I met Kara and Jessie at the hotel the first afternoon, the hellish more »

BEA with Great Imaginations – Part Two: Navigating BEA

BEA is coming, guys!  All three of us will be attending this year and words cannot express how excited we are about this.  Since we know a lot of those who are going will be first-timers, we thought we’d pool our collective resources and give as much info on the conference as we can! BEA with Great Imaginations is in two in two parts.  Today we’re going to talk about how to get around the Javits, and how to get your books home.  Last Wednesday we covered preparing for BEA, including what to pack, and what you might want to more »
