TOP TEN TUESDAY IS HOSTED BY THE BROKE AND THE BOOKISH.
THIS WEEK’S TOPIC: Top Ten Books On My Fall TBR List
It is finally the best part of the year: Coloring leaves, Halloween, Thanksgiving, boots and long sleeves, cooler weather, and pumpkin spice!
My fall list is a little mix of everything, ranging from some political nonfiction, to some recommendations on Twitter, to a book I have wanted to read, my banned book for 2017, and finally, a book I have owned forever, and have found to courage to read after all this time.
Here is my 2017 autumn reading list:
What Happened by Hillary Clinton – Imma drink me some angry male tears here. Also, I have seen some of the snarky samples, and I just have to read it now.
Mask of Shadows by Linsey Miller – That cover! Gender fluid character! A better Throne of Glass? YES PLEASE!!!
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (Banned Book Week) – I have actually never read the book. I have just seen the movie. So I thought it would be the perfect pick for this year’s Banned Book Week.
Draw the Line by Laurent Linn – I ran across this one in the bookstore, and I was just drawn to the story after reading the bookcover. Also, it is set in Texas and I love the cover.
A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGinnis – I’m really angry it has taken me this long to read it. I had it slated for last year’s fall TBR list, but I fell apart last year and never got to it.
Warcross by Marie Lu – I am reading this one right now, actually. I’ve seen this one recommended over and over on my book feed, and I really just love that cover.
One Dark Throne by Kendare Blake – I have needed this book all year. Needed.
Spindle Fire by Lexa Hillyer – I’ve seen so many people love it, and I just really want to put another fantasy on my list this season.
City of Saints and Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson – Recommended directly to me, so I am finally going to add it to my reading list.
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas – So I am finally going to read it. I’ve owned it forever. But it has really intimidated me. But I’m ready for it.
