Jessie and Dani over at Ageless Pages Reviews tagged me for a wonderful tag to discuss what should have happened for some our favorite books! See my dream list below and enjoy!

A book that totally should’ve had a sequel

Uprooted by Naomi Novik

I can’t get enough of this book, and there is still so much I would love to see in this world. How is Kasia doing? How is the kingdom? Is the dragon still grumpy? Is the forest recovering? I need so much more from this world!

A book or series that totally should’ve had a spin-off

The Unearthly Series by Cynthia Hand

I have always wanted a prequel centered around Meg, Clara’s mom, and Sam. I understand why they didn’t stay together, but the romance is just so touching, I would love to explore it more! Even a series with Jeffrey would be nice. Hell, even one with Christian would make me happy (Clara/Christian FOREVER!)

An author that should totally write more books

Why doesn’t Hannah Harrington write more books? She has two, and then nothing has been heard from her since 2012. Speechless is one of my favorite books ever, and I am really sad to see that she doesn’t write any longer.

A character who totally should’ve ended up with someone else

Alina from The Grisha series by Leigh Bardugo

For any one who has read the series, can we all totally agree that it is hard to buy into Alina’s choice at the end? Just….even if she had chosen to be alone, I would have taken that better than the choice she made. BLEH.

A book that totally should’ve ended differently

Raging Star (The Dustland Series #3) by Moira Young

Can we just forget the entire last book? First of all, the romance turned sour, to the point where I unshipped it and sank the boat. Next, Saba’s character was just assassinated and made even weaker and whinier with each book in the series. And to just end the book with the “to hell with it all” attitude? I feel like I wasted an investment in the series with the let down with the final book in the series.

A book series that totally should’ve had a movie franchise

The Daughter of Smoke and Bone series by Laini Taylor

….but ONLY if it is animated by Studio Ghibli. I don’t trust any actors with these roles. And if anyone should dare to make these movies horrible, I will hunt them down.

A book or series that totally should’ve been a TV show

Vampire Empire series by Clay and Susan Griffith

With the awesome political pull, the diversity, and the totally awesome leads, this book would make for a great series. The writers have revived the book series again, and I love the totally tongue in cheek approach to the whole vampire mythology.

A book that totally should’ve had one point of view

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey

Told in Zero’s POV. We honestly do not need Cassie’s POV. It is so unneeded and her romance portion is creepy. Just leave in the better version of Ender’s Game and the book would have been perfect.

A book or series that totally should have had a cover change

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead

I was okay with it – until I got the book in my hand. It just looks HORRIBLE.

A book or series that totally should’ve kept the original covers

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews

The new covers will never compare to the first one. That first cover is what made me GET the book! If I would have seen that second one, I more than likely would have skipped right over it.

A series that totally should’ve stopped at book one

Angelfall by Susan Ee

The first book was so great! The next one was just…okay. And the last one, well. No.
