Hi everyone! I picked up this really awesome tag from Christina at Christina Reads YA for 15 weird questions to answer about ourselves, so I thought it would be interesting to see what I would honestly fill in for each one!
1. A nickname that you get called.
Lyn is actually a nickname. Lynberger is a name by my cousin. I also go by Lynderella because I clean to ease my mind. Crazy Cat Lady is one that my neighbors like to use. My mom calls me a German nickname I can’t spell to save my life, but I pretty much just have the one nick name.
2. A weird habit.
When I am alone, I love to put my headphones on and “dance”. Except, it isn’t really dancing, it is my weird, dumb version of dancing, but it is moving to the music. Hence, why I only do it alone.
3. A weird phobia.
I’m a bit afraid of dogs. I was jumped by dogs when I was younger, and I never seem to have a good relationship with them. When I see a strange dog, or a dog I don’t know, I get sick to my stomach and start freaking out internally. It takes a lot of time for me to get use to a dog. I also grew up with cats, and I never really warmed up to canines. I’m so sorry, dog people. I know they are cute and friendly and all of that jazz, but my first reaction to a dog is fear.
4. A song you are ashamed to like so you blast it in private.
Honestly, I am at the age where I just do not care about my music taste out there in the world. Yes, I love some hard rock, death metal, J-pop, and Selena Gomez. I have Britney next to the Holst. The Bangles is still awesome, and so is Iron Maiden. I eat up Scandinavian melodic metal, and then my iPod switched to the Kingdom Hearts soundtrack. When I was in college, I would listen to my music in the privacy in my car, because my roommate made fun of my Gundam Wing/DBZ mixed CDs, but now? Don’t care.
5. A pet peeve.
Whistling. I hate it so much. I honestly want to stab people when they whistle. I also can’t stand it when people just hum or sing in that gospel-like manner, especially at work. I want to run away, scream, and cry all at once.
6. A nervous habit.
I always rub my nose when I get uncomfortable or nervous. No wonder I always have sinus issues. I feel like I have a lot of ticks, but that is the one I am the least embarrassed to admit to.
7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
I tend to roll around all over the bed. But I start out on the left side of the bed. Good thing I don’t have a significant other.
8. The name of your first stuffed animal.
It was Snowflake, the black and white Pound Purry! However, someone’s puppy tore it up. I loved that stuffed kitty.
9. What do you buy at Starbucks?
Orange juice (I don’t like coffee) and a chocolate croissant. It is a crapton of sugar, but it is SO GOOD.
10. Beauty rule.
Like, a weird beauty rule or a general beauty rule? I’m really obsessed over my looks, since I have this constant fear that I look hideous, since my skin is scarred from terrible acne from my teen years. I scrub my face with a gentle exfoliate in the mornings, and I wash my face when I get home with a gentle cleanser, and moisturize my face. Every day I constantly worry about the condition of my cheeks or if people are staring at the huge blackheads on my nose. I also usually wear mascara every single day.
11. Which way do you face in the shower?
….away from the water, so I won’t drown?
12. A weird body skill.
I can hold my pee for a long, long time?
13. Comfort food.
Cupcakes. Not cake, or a slice of a cake or a little cake, but a cupcake.
14. A word or phrase that you say all the time.
I often say “Seriously?” when something stupid is said or done. I was just also informed that when I am telling at story, I often use the phrase “blah blah blah” when I am trying to get to the good parts. Seriously? I am also quite fond of “Fuck (you, that, this, everything, etc etc).
15. What do you sleep in?
No, kidding. Usually old PJ bottoms and and even older T-shirt.
Did any of our answers match? Do you have any weird quirks to share?
