Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s topic: Our Top Ten 2016 Resolutions
What is the best way to kick off 2016, besides turning into a sloth, laying around in your underwear and devouring all of the ice cream/pizza/alcohol/food substances/movies/etc etc around you before we start that 5 day old diet?
Why, kicking 2015 out to the curb like a jobless slob and starting fresh!
This week, Maryam and I are stating our goals for this year, and what we wish to accomplish for 2016!
Organize a TBR Jar
I always see everyone’s beautiful TBR jars and I love them! I like the idea of a lottery for what to read next, and the idea of setting up some sort of random system with colored paper and decorating a lovely jar excites me on getting out of his horrible slump I have felt for a month now.
Obtain some better shelving for my overflowing book collection
I want to get my books up off the floor. My apartment is small, but sometimes, you do what you have to do. Even if I need to start to clean out my collection and start buying more e-books, I need to do something, because my book corner is starting to look like a book dystopia.
Find a better review writing system
As of the end of 2015, I have 20 books that are still without reviews. I want to stop that habit of putting off reviews until I HAVE to list something on the blog. Even if it is mini-review, it is better than letting it sit there until I have lost any and all thoughts on the book.
Respond to blogs during the week
I usually set aside one day during the weekend to reply, but if I become ill, or if I go out of town, then I fall behind, and then anxiety sets in, and then, before I know it, I have 500 e-mails and I crash. I want to reconnect with the blogsphere this year. I have let certain issues push me out in 2015, and this year, I want to try to get back into the community and become involved. I have some ideas on how to balance work and blogging, and I hope it brings me closer to the community.

Sis and I are going to help sell some products with a lady looking for someone to run a website, so we have to set up a photo area. Since we have a cat-free, mini-photo studio, I have really taken a shining to the book photos I have seen on Instragram, and I want to try my hand at it. I really love the beautiful photographs of books and seasonal or book-related items pairing up for a wonderful combination!
READ MORE BOOKS
YES, I know I’ve read over 200 books in 2015, but I want to challenge myself to read at least 300 this year. I have high hopes HAHAHAHA. I plan to read more, devour more books, because I wanna have more stories in my head, which I can tell my little brothers and friends.
If you follow me on Instagram, you would realize that I have been posting more bookish photos lately, HEHE. But I am still not separating my personal photos and bookish photos into different accounts, because I kinda like to mesh them up. But anyway, yes, I want to learn to take more better quality photos. And I might just be investing in a cool camera, WHO KNOWS?
Last year, I let so many stuffs bring me down, and this is a promise to myself: I want to be happy. I think it’s time I take charge of my own happiness and not let people dictate it. And I hope this is on ALL of you guys’ resolutions too, because everyone deserves to be happy.
Help Great Imaginations grow
YUP, that is one of my resolutions. I want to help GI grow into a better, bigger blog, because I think these ladies (Kara, Pixie, Lyn) have worked their hardest to keep this blog going. So I want to contribute with my own flair of hyperness and hopefully I’ll bring more loyal followers to this blog.
I need to learn how to balance everything, and that’s what I plan to do this year. School, blogging, reading. I’ve been asking around on how to do so, hence if you have ANY tips, let me know! HAHA
