Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s topic: Our top January-June releases

Happy 2016, friends!

Thank you for making 2015 one of my favorite years! It has been a roller coaster of a year, but we survived it! To ring in the new year, Pixie and I are sharing the books we are looking forward to the most for the next six months. Enjoy!

Lyn’s List

Note: My new debut novels can be found here!

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro
Releasing: March 1st

The rest of the reading community set off my excitement for this novel. The thought of a female Sherlock, having all of the fun for once, is a really enticing hook for me.

Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
Releasing: January 5th

I blame all of you for this one. ALL. OF. YOU. This book is setting off a string of book fever for everyone, and I am willing to overlook the hype just for that cover.

The Mirror King by Jodi Meadows
Releasing April 5th

The sequel and final book for The Orphan Queen, I am hyped up to see where this one leads, and to finally resolve that cliffhanger. Like, Jodi, HOW COULD YOU?!

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Releasing May 3rd

Seriously, seriously? Do I really need to explain WHY?

The Impostor Queen by Sarah Fine
Releasing January 5th

Fine has become a new favorite author after I finished off her Of Metal and Wishes series, and anything she writes is automatically on the autobuy list.

Pixie’s List

The Glittering Court by Richelle Mead
Releasing April 5th

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas
Releasing May 3rd

Like Lyn, I shouldn’t have to explain this one. It’s only the sequel we’ve all been waiting for!

The Girl from Everywhere by Heidi Heilig
Releasing February 16th

This book sounds amazeballs! I have a digital ARC and I plan to get to reading that real soon. 🙂

Revenge and the Wild by Michelle Modesto
Releasing February 2nd

I actually came across this title by accident while surfing GR and it hasn’t escaped my mind since. I think I pretty much need it the moment it hits shelves. It just sounds like it is molded in pure awesome.

Save Me, Kurt Cobain by Jenny Manzer
Releasing March 8th

This one caught my attention with the title and blurb. Kurt Cobain… still alive?? Uh, okay! I’m interested for sure. It’s either going to be really great or a great idea gone wrong. Either way, I know it hit my must-have list immediately as a huge Nirvana fan (and hey, 90’s nostalgia).

What books are on your buy list for the first of the year?

  1. Woot! A Court of Mist and Fury! I can’t wait to see what SJM has in store for us next 😀 I still need to read The Orphan Queen but every time I stumble on the cover for Mirror King I kick myself a little for not being caught up! The Glittering Court looks/sounds great…and I’m curious to see how you’ll make out with Truthwitch 🙂 Awesome picks ladies and Happy 2016!
