Top Ten Tuesdays

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s topic: Books on our Fall TBR List

We did it! We survived summer! Now, it is one of the BEST times of the year!

Go ahead and hate all you want! Pumpkin Spice EVERYTHING, Halloween, crisp mornings, changing leaves, TEMPS UNDER A HUNDRED DEGREES! For all of our friends south of the Earth’s belt, it is another great time of the year – SPRING!

No matter what season you are celebrating, it is always a great time for a sweet book. This week, Kara and I share what we plan on getting cozy with for the new season.

Dumplin’ by Julie Murphy
I feel like I have been waiting forEVER for this book to release! I’m so excited about this one, I can’t even begin! It looks like such a cute novel to enjoy with some cookies and warm cocoa.

A Madness so Discreet by Mindy McGinnis
What an awesome book for the Halloween season! That cover, the description, the creep factor! This one has”fall reading” all over it.

The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey
Our FF pick for October! This book just screams “READ ME FOR HALLOWEEN!”

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
No matter the time of the year, Bardugo books are a must.

Valiant by Sarah McGuire
to cut down on the spookiness of my reading list, I wanted to add in something a little lighter. Also, I have wanted to read this one for quite some time.

I’ve only selected one “me” book this time around. That’s Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray. I am super anxious to find out what happens in that long awaited book that I accidentally bought two copies of. Otherwise, since it’s fall and it’s a great time for paranormal and fantasy books (I love reading that stuff around Halloween), I’ve selected some ARCs that I need to catch up on and finally get rid of. Hopefully I will adore Uprooted since just about everyone else did, but the hype scares me a little. I have not heard too much about The Creeping andThe Blackthorn Key, even though both have already been published. A Drop of Night is the only one on this list that has not been published yet, but the premise is killing me and I have to read it ASAP!

Lair of Dreams by Libba Bray
The Creeping by Alexandra Sirowy
The Blackthorn Key by Kevin Sands
Uprooted by Naomi Novik
A Drop of Night by Stefan Bachmann

What books do you plan on reading this season? Do you have a genre that you enjoy in the fall?
