Epic Recs: April

Posted April 5, 2015 by Lyn Kaye in epic recs, Lyn, Pixie / 10 Comments

Epic Recs, hosted by Amber @ Books of Amber and Judith @ Paper Riot, is a book club/recommendation program/reading challenge where you and your partner recommend a book to one another each month.

This month, Pixie and I both decided to participate and recommended an Epic Rec read to one another.

Lyn’s Pick: I finished reading Chime with Christina at Christina Reads YA, and I pushed Pixie to read it next. I really believe that she will enjoy this, if nothing else.  The writing is beautiful and the mystery is an addictive substance!

Pixie’s Pick: Prisoner of Night and Fog is one of my most recent favorite reads in the last year (along with its sequel). When I found out Lyn hadn’t read it, but was interested, I knew I just had to make this her pick!

Are you excited to see the reviews for these titles? Are these some books that you have picked up already?

  1. I haven’t heard of Chime before, but woot for beautiful writing and good mystery! Honestly, we’re lacking in good mystery books in the YA market these days… And I really hope you enjoy Prisoner of Night & Fog! It wasn’t the best historical book I’ve read, but it was definitely enjoyable and had some sweet romance. I gave it four stars, if I’m not mistaken. 😀

  2. I have read both of these books and can only say GOOD CHOICES, LADIES. Both of them are beautifully written and wonderful and eerie and counted among my favorites. Enjoy!
