This week’s topic: New to Us Authors of 2014

So this year wasn’t the best reading year for me. I don’t know if it’s a slump or it’s just blah releases this year or a mixture of the two, but I stuck primarily to authors I know this year. Looking over my list on Goodreads in preparation to make this TTT, I noticed that a lot of my favorite books were sequels or later releases from favorite authors. However, I did venture out a little bit and came back with great reward. Here are my and Lyn’s picks for our favorite new-to-us authors.

  1. I absolutely love most of the authors on your lists. Stephanie Perkins is one of my favourites and Ruta Sepetys broke my heart with Between Shades of Grey. I had a similar problem this year though and mainly stuck with authors that I knew previously.

  2. I really need to read The Winner’s Curse and Jellicoe Road, I’ve heard great things about both of those! I loved Vampire Academy and the spin off, Bloodlines. Actually I think the spin off books are my favorite of the two 🙂

  3. I’m ashamed to admit that I haven’t read any of your picks ladies 🙁 Scarlet, VA, Not a Drop to Drink, Eleanor & Park and Winner’s Curse are ALL on my tbr shelf though 🙂

Happy reading! Hope you’re having a great week! Oh and sorry for the radio silence on my end, I moved last month and ended up with no internet at home for over two weeks o_O *grumbles* I’m only just starting the process of catching up this week! Cheers x
