Epic Recs, hosted by Amber @ Books of Amber and Judith @ Paper Riot, is a book club/recommendation program/reading challenge wherein you and your partner recommend a book (or more!) to each other every month. My partner is Lili @ Lili’s Refelction! Last month I read Of Beast and Beauty and Lili read The Sky is Everywhere.
Lili’s Pick: Angelfall by Susan Ee. I’ve had this on my tbr for ages. I don’t really have a reason why I haven’t read it yet. But it’s the perfect pick for November because 1) reading slumps tend to be overcome by fast-paced action-packed books and I am in one hell of a slump, and 2) it’s nice and short, which means I’ll still be able to get through it quickly during NaNoWriMo.
My Pick: Complicit by Stephanie Kuehn. I picked this one because I saw that Lili liked Dangerous Girls. Since both books are very twisted thrillers with surprises and unreliable narrators, I thought Complicit would be a great follow up.
Have you read either of these?
