Hi, everyone, Bekka here! Last week I didn’t have a haul, so I have two weeks of updates for you guys today. Starting with the fact that last Friday, Gummy ran away. After over a year of having her, and her showing zero interest in ever being outside of the house, she slipped through the front door and took off for the woods and up the mountain. My husband, my hero, ran after her and searched the pitch black woods for three hours and finally found her. I am so relieved and elated to have her home, but I can’t believe that jerk! The stress that night nearly killed me.
As for my book-buying ban, I’m doing great. I only have one purchased book to show you guys this week and it was one I bought and paid for a while ago. I did get a ton of things to review this week, all of which I am soooo very excited about.
The Secrets We Keep by Trisha Leaver
The Ghosts of Heaven by Marcus Sedgwick
The Marriage Game by Alison Weir
The Distance Between Lost and Found by Kathryn Holmes
For Real by Alison Cherry
Death Marked by Leah Cypess
Gifted – I was give a BN gift card from my Secret Sister
Shizo by Nic Sheff
The Body Electric by Beth Revis
Sooo excited about this one. She is a local author here and my local indie was selling signed limited edition copies with a big swag pack full of artwork and bookmarks and things. It’s all so gorgeous!
Hi. Hi there. Hi! I’m feeling a little delusional right now as I have spent ALLLL DAYYYY editing and I have no brain left. I cannot brain. After this I am about to take a bath, do some yoga and meditate, because very obviously I need it.
As for books, I have not done a haul for a couple of weeks, which is what I say every time I have a new haul so I’m really getting tired of saying it so maybe I’ll stopppp? Anyway, I have a nice amount of books to show this time, so let’s get right to that. Oh, by the way, winter 2015 is going to be an amazing time for book releases and I am really looking forward to reading every single one of these!
Thank you to MacKids’ Books, Bloomsbury, and HarperCollins.
