stacking the shelves

Stacking the Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews

Wow. Okay, so it’s been a really long time since I have done a book haul post. There are several reasons for this. One, because I haven’t bought any books other than the e-books we’ve been reading for Forgotten Fridays and I haven’t been requesting any since I have so many I haven’t read already. Two, because I am a shitty, shitty blogger. I haven’t been in the mood to read a lot, and I’ve been working way too much. Things are getting better though, and I am really trying to get back into this because I miss it. Thankfully my co-bloggers are awesome and understanding, and you probably haven’t even missed me that much which means they are awesome at what they do here.

So plan on it being another couple weeks (at least) before I do another one of these posts. I just don’t have enough books to do one every week.

Hey everyone! As Kara is getting back into reading and blogging, I’m hitting a wall.  I think I’m in the beginning stages of a reading slump; I just don’t have the attention span for basically anything and I hate having to force myself to read.  I’m still obsessed with blogging though. I find it funny that my fire for blogging ignites right as I hit a wall with reading. What am I supposed to write about if I’m not reading?

Anyway. I had a small, but great book week.  The finally released Throne of Glass with the nice US cover in hardcover, so you know I had to buy the whole set.  I’ve already read (and loved) the series, and I own the UK editions (mostly because of the god awful original US cover.)  So that makes 9 books owned by Sarah J Maas… She’s only released 4 so far.  O_o

They are so pretty they are so beautiful just look at them.

Kara: I hope you enjoy Rites of Passage, it’s such a refreshing and unique read, and I’m very curious to see what you’ll think of it.

Bekka: Wow that’s a lot of copies of Maas’ books you own! The US hardcovers look really pretty from the spine even though I prefer the UK/AUS covers much more.

Have a lovely week, ladies <33

Bekka – I bought the whole Maas set this week too, with the new initial cover! I read Throne of Glass and most of The Assassin’s Blade this weekend and am in LOVE! I’ll be shopping for the UK versions eventually, I bet. 🙂

  6. So crazy excited for The Walls Around Us after reading Imaginary Girls recently.
And I can totally sympathize. I’m in a major reading slump myself and have two books going that are taking me forever to get through but I don’t even have the urge to pick up anything else. Not sure what I’m in the mood for. Well, okay, I’ve been in the mood to binge on netflix but that’s different. hahaha Going to really have to get around to read Maas one of these days. I’m kind of scared to not like it so, someday.
