Bekka here.  This week has been very up and down.  Lately Mike and I have been handling some negative experiences in our personal and family lives and it’s been draining.  And – as odd as this surely sounds – I’ve been deeply hurt by Robin Willams’ passing.  And I trust you’ve all been paying attention to the reports out of Ferguson, MO this week.

On the other hand, the weather has cooled off and that’s been really helpful when it comes to my seasonal depression.  On a slightly more boring note, my bedroom has been redecorated with all new furniture and my bed is FABULOUS.  Finally, I had an awesome book week, including meeting Stephanie Perkins!

  1. OOh nice reads! Read Incarnation so long ago! It was definitely an intriguing read! Yeah, Robin’s passing was a shock to me! I can’t seem to really grasp when the celebs I’ve known and loved have passed away! And the Ferguson thing is just scary. I live in MO, not too far from Ferguson really. Trying to avoid the news because I can’t handle watching it anymore.

Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

My STS will be up tomorrow, so be sure to stop by then!

    Have a GREAT day!

  2. Aw, Bekka, sorry things have been rough. I can totally commiserate with how you felt about Robin. I heard about it just before I got out of work, had a little cry at my desk and then proceeded to cry off and on for the rest of the night. I’d never had a celebrity death upset me as bad as his did. *hugs*
I haven’t actually read anything of Nova Ren Suma’s yet but did snag a copy of The Walls. Glad to hear you like her so much, I’m definitely going to have to check out her other books. 🙂
    Happy Reading!
