Hey, everyone! It’s Kara! I have a pretty decent haul this week since it’s been a couple of weeks since I have done a post. I know I mentioned my back in the last post I did, and I am doing better but I still have a ways to go before I am healed. I will try to get a couple more shots in my back at my next appointment on the 10th because they seem to be working.
Last weekend I had Book Bash and that went really well! It was great seeing Karina, Chelsea, and Laura again, and meeting some new authors that I really got along with. I had a blast hanging out with Jennifer Armentrout, Carmen Jenner and Trudi Stiles at Islands of Adventure and doing Harry Potter. The new part of the park wasn’t open yet but it was still a blast! Book Bash itself is always super fun! I love interacting with all Karina’s fans, and it was especially wonderful this year because there were so many people mentioning how Love, in English had changed their lives. That book means a great deal to me so I teared up on more than one occasion! Here’s a photo with me and Karina and the book!
I love her so much, OMG. She is one of the most amazing people in my life.
But now I suppose I should get to the books!
Thank you to Disney Hyperion for sending me these two ARCs for review.
Love, in English by Karina Halle
Karina signed my copy from Book Bash. Now I finally have my own copy of this treasure. <3
Broken Hearts, Fences, and Other Things to Mend by Katie Finn
I didn’t actually like this book and I DNFed it, but I was sent a finished copy by the lovely people at Macmillan and I am giving it away on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/NamasteRead/status/484830017957167104
The Wrenchies by Farel Dalrymple
Thank you to First Second Books for this one! The reviews are negative so far so I’m a bit scared. It’s short though. Going in with an open mind.
Thorn Jack by Katherine Harbour
I received this one from a friend, so it is not for review, but it is one I really wanted from BEA and wasn’t able to get so I am really going to try to fit it in.
California by Edan Lepucki
Thanks to Little, Brown for this finished copy! I am definitely reading it this month and it’s in my TBR pile so stay tuned. So excited!
The Fall by Bethany Griffin
The Map to Everywhere by Carrie Ryan
That’s it for me this week. Such a good week too!
