Imaginative Discussions: Reading Habits Survey

Bekka completed the A-Z bookish survey a while back.  I jumped on it, started the survey, then discovered I already did it in January, and I do it at the start of the year, each year.  Since I am still set on this path, I found another survey regarding reading habits from Heroic Endeavors.

Do you snack while you read? If so, favourite reading snack: I try not to snack, since I worry about the pages, but if I am reading my Kindle, then I love to snack on popcorn.  Smartfood White Cheddar popcorn is my absolute favorite.
What is your favorite drink while reading? That is an easy answer:

BEHOLD

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the thought of writing in books horrify you? It takes me a lot to even write something on the inside cover if I give a book to a friend.  I can’t do it.  If I have to take notes, I use sticky notes. I also hate bending the corners of the pages. I think I have only done it a few times. (Sorry).
How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmarks. Which can be anything: receipt for gas, square of toilet paper, the tag off of my new jeans, a coupon, a Pokemon card – you name it.
Fiction, non-fiction, or both? I tend to lean more towards fiction, but I will read non-fiction, when it comes up.
Are you the type of person who tends to read to the end of the chapter, or can you stop anywhere? I prefer to stop at a chapter, but since I read at work or if I need to get up and do something, I try to at least stop at a logical part of the book, like a new paragraph or after some action.
Are the type of person to throw a book across the room or onto the floor if the author irritates you? I tend to punish my books by hitting them with a pillow.

BAD BOOK

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you look it up right away? I usually ask/text my sister for help. She’s the smart one, and I use it to my advantage.
What are you currently reading? This:
What is the last book you bought? We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.

Do you have a favorite time/place to read? I love reading at an eatery or at my local library. At home, I have a beanbag with my book pillows as a current nook, but I am looking at alternatives at the moment.

Do you prefer series books or stand alones? This is a tough one. I love series, but I hate it when a story arc doesn’t need three or four books to tell a story. I do have a certain love for stand alone books.

Is there a specific book you find yourself recommending over and over? There are quite a few books I recommend over and over: Vampire Empire series by Clay and Susan Griffith, anything by Laini Taylor and Claire Legrand.

How do you organize your books? LOL. Prepare for something horrible here.

My poor little, tiny apartment.

I’m always snacking on Cheetos and I try very hard to not get the cheesy fingers on book pages. The drink: Diet Coke via SodaStream.
Does Folding corners counts? that how I mark some of my favorite scenes for some books. I do use bookmarks unless I just started a book and don’t have one on me I will fold the corners or some how manage to remember the chapter I stop at.

Aw your poor books. I have no idea what I’m going to do with all of mine. I have huge bookshelves but I’m afraid when I move out of my parent’s house in the next couple months that my apartment wont hold all my babies. I may need to get a two bedroom place so they have a spot to go into. Crazy I know.
