Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish This week’s theme: Top Ten Books On My Summer TBR list.
Have summer plans? Have summer reading plans? Have a whole stack of it just waiting for the horrible, hot season to hit (Lyn HATES summertime)? Well, this week, Lyn and Bekka discuss the books we plan on reading for the summer solstice!
Talon by Julie Kagawa: Dragons. Heat. Makes perfect sense to add this to the pile for summer!
Salt and Storm by Kendall Kulper: This book reminds me of the ocean, a place I love to visit this time of the year.
Ruin and Rising by Leigh Bardugo: This one is a HOT pick of mine! Finishing off the series promises to bring a storm of tears.
The Walled City by Ryan Graudin: Culture is vital to survive the summer months.
Lies We Tell Ourselves by Robin Talley:
Kat Kennedy. Summer brings back recollections of school reading, and a school-themed book is perfect to relive old memories.
Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. I broke my usual streak of reading the book before seeing the movie with this title. But I thought the story seemed interesting, and since there’s no hope of a second movie really, the only way to find out what happens is to read the book.
Feral by Holly Schindler. This thriller is pitched as The Lovely Bones meets Black Swan so basically ALL THE YES.
Servants of the Storm by Delilah S Dawson. I honestly have no idea what this one is about but I am obsessed with the cover.
Where Silence Gathers by Kelsey Sutton. I looooooved Some Quiet Place – absolutely freaking LOVED it – so you know I need to read its companion novel.
The Merciless by Danielle Vega. I love horror, and I think the scariest horror is about religion – even though I’m atheist. It’s weird, I don’t get it. But there it is. I’m hoping this one is everything I wanted The Blessed to be.
