Welcome to the final installment of the Burn Book. It has been an absolute joy doing these posts, reading every single inspiring and positive word you’ve all said about one another. I think it goes without saying now that the book blogging community is welcoming and full of real, lasting friendships. Thank you all for taking this humble feature and turning it into something huge and meaningful.
Recently, there has been a lot of negativity hitting our community. Accusations of lying, cheating, bullying, and cliquish behavior. There isn’t much we can do about this, but we can address the accusations of being a mean girl clique.
Kara, Lyn, and I want to do something positive for this community that we love so much. We’ve compiled a list of over 50 bloggers – a bit much for a clique, if you ask us – and we want to share our love for these individuals and their blogs, and hopefully spread the joy we get from their presence in this community. Blogging is a hobby that brings us happiness – it’s time to get back to that feeling.
So we’ve decided that we’re going to share our Burn Book over the course of four weeks, eight posts. You all know what the Burn Book was in Mean Girls – an ‘anonymous’ scrapbook full of messages about other girls the plastics knew. We’ve taken this idea, turned it on its head, and now we’re ready to share it with you.
