Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
This week’s theme: Books We Bought Because of Their Titles!

This week was a Freebie! Bekka and Lyn decided to share the favorite books that they bought based on their title.

Lyn’s Picks

Twistrose Key by Tone Almhjell – Everything about this title screamed at me. Roses and keys? YES, PLEASE!

The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman – Haunting and romantically spooky. Nice!

Loki’s Wolves by  K. L. Armstrong and M. A. Marr – No brainer. Loki!

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore – As someone who clings to her notion that there is something good left in Texas, and Gothic as one of my buzzword, this one was sold the moment I saw it.

What’s Left of Me by Kat Zhang – I’ll fully admit that I bought it, thanks to the phrase that matches the lyrics in Sanctuary by Utada Hikaru.

Bekka’s Picks

 1.  Daughter of Smoke and Bone

2.  A Matter of Days

3.  Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea

4.  Girl of Nightmares

5.  The Nightmare Affair

  1. This is a great topic girls, most people buy a book from the cover, not the title, so it’s an unusual one and has made me wonder if I’ve ever done it. Lyn, everybody is obsessed with Loki, I’m not surprised it helped you pick it up and The Glass Casket really reminds me of a snow white/purity thing, maybe I’m wrong, who knows? Bekka, I agree, Daughter of Smoke and Bone really sounds mysterious and alluring and I’m really considering it more now and Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea actually caught my eye from the font of the title, so we were close! 🙂
