Great Imaginations Burn Book Part 2

This week saw a lot of drama unfold.  There was a huge plagiarism scandal that rocked our community.  Because of this, there’s been a lot of negativity being thrown around on blogs and on Twitter.  Accusations of lying, cheating, bullying, and cliquish behavior.  There isn’t much we can do about this, but we can address the accusations of being a mean girl clique.

Kara, Lyn, and I want to do something positive for this community that we love so much.  We’ve compiled a list of over 50 bloggers – a bit much for a clique, if you ask us – and we want to share our love for these individuals and their blogs, and hopefully spread the joy we get from their presence in this community.  Blogging is a hobby that brings us happiness – it’s time to get back to that feeling.

So we’ve decided that we’re going to share our Burn Book over the course of four weeks, eight posts.  You all know what the Burn Book was in Mean Girls – an ‘anonymous’ scrapbook full of messages about other girls the plastics knew.  We’ve taken this idea, turned it on its head, and now we’re ready to share it with you.

  1. *blushes* daawwww ya’ll are too sweet!! One day I will travel (I hope) and I will see all of your gorgeous faces in person and it will just be that much better because we’ve waited so damn long LOL Also, can I just say how much I love the contemporary references in mine. I’m becoming a kind of “one-trick-pony” in my reading but I’m ok with that because contemporary just works for me! I love talking books with you ladies on Twitter and just gabbing about anything, I hope we keep that up for many years to come. Love yous!

  2. Aww you ladies are so sweet! I’m so happy to have finally met Kara last year and both Lyn and Bekka are comig this year right!? SO MUCH EXCITE! Dude it’s all I can think about this month! And I’m so happy that people love our Fresh batch post that post is the one that takes the most time but it’s so worth it for the fans it has. I can’t wait to see your new design, ladies! I saw te pink flamingo or whatever that was (lol) tease and I’m so curious! Peace out, yo! *Gang signs of badassness*

  3. Guys. This actually made me tear up. 😀 *big huggles all day every day*

My Israel post was something that inspired me too, as silly as that seems. I’m not religious to this day, but I feel in touch with my religion for the first time in my life which is something that I never thought would really happen. My entire outlook on life has changed because of that trip.

You guys are honestly two of the best friends a girl could ever ask for <3 I don't know what I could do without either of you!

This is just one big post full of love and we need these more often.

  4. I’ve been meaning to come by here the past week and get a comment to you ladies, but it’s just been one thing after another. The day this post went up couldn’t have happened at a better time, I believe. I’d just received a call about my oldest brother being rushed into the hospital with potential cardiac arrest and congestive heart failure and other problems from his diabetes. Being three hours away from him, I was a complete mess that morning since I’d been mostly left in the dark, terrified, and just had to wait around for updates and various phone calls (he’s doing better now and was released from hospital earlier this evening finally). I didn’t even get a chance to tell you that I burst into tears after reading the notes above and I’m tearing up now still. I’m glad and thankful to know you all and I look forward to meeting you soon! <3 <3 <3 I don't know what I'd do without you, ladies. <3 You're the best.

    Love you!
