Stacking the Shelves #79

Stacking the Shelves is hosted at Tynga’s Reviews
It’s been a really slow couple of weeks. I’ve only gotten two review books in the mail, and I haven’t wanted many galleys that went up on Edelweiss or NetGalley. I am trying not to buy any books because I already have so many, and as a result, I have very little to show you. So much so that I Was tempted to buy something just to HAVE something. But I didn’t. Because summer catalogs are coming soon and so is BEA. Then I will have lots of somethings to show you. I hope. Or not, because honestly I still have catching up to do. Anyway, here is what I got:

This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki, Jillian Tamaki
Thank you to First Second Books for these two pretties.

The last time I made an appearance for STS was back in January. Wow. I’m a slacker. Nothing new is happening. I’ve digested some disappointing news, but as I told Kara: “Closing doors and opening windows and such.” I’m such a poet. I hope to have some good news soon, and I’m doing all I can to keep a positive outlook during bleak times. I did have a snow day Monday (HOORAY!) and treated myself to a new copy of Teen Titans GO! and Thor: The Dark World on DVD. I’m also writing more these days. I noticed that I’ve been very quiet on Twitter. I hope to start showing my face around the blogging world more often. One last thing. The Reddit Gift book exchange treated me very very well this year. That helped out quite a bit.
Onto the books!

Inside HBO’s Game of Thrones – this one was a shock, but it was on sale and it looks LOVELY. I also adore some of the cast from the show and it makes a great addition to my shelf.
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge – Had to have it
World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks – I’ve wanted to read it for a while. Used copies make me happy.
The Day I Met Suzie by Chris Higgins – All the way from the UK. I’m excited to read this book (edit: I just noticed it is now available for Kindle. WTH)
Cress by Marissa Meyer – Signed and everything! This cover is my favorite so far!
