Stacking the Shelves is hosted by Tynga’s Reviews.

Another week, another epic haul. This week was much easier than last as far as personal stuff goes, so yay for that. I finished two 4-star books (YAY!) and I got several exciting review books in the mail. Also got asked to be part of a blog tour that I am REALLY excited about. And yay for a vlog again even though I had to wait until the last minute while waiting for a Friday delivery to arrive.

Bekka here!  This week was really, really stupid.  I had a box of books on its way to me via UPS, expected to be delivered on Tuesday, but then some snow hit.  About three inches, and it hit on Tuesday.  It stopped snowing on Tuesday.  When did I get my books? FRIDAY.

  1. Hey Kara!

Love the Vlog. I’m never gutsy enough to do one of these things. I’d love to one of these days. Sigh. Anyway, you look great, hun. 🙂

You’ve got some pretty awesome books as well. Looking forward to Sunrise, for sure. Though I haven’t read Ashen Winter yet. Really need to get that out of the way, stat.

    Have a lovely week.

    • Joy, you are the kindest. Thank you. I really hope you decide to do one at some point because I would love to see it. I think we all feel awkward on camera. I still do but it’s gotten better.

Ashen Winter is insanely exciting. I hope you read it soon!

  2. Wow! Amazing haul of books, I don’t think I’ve heard of many of them but I am definitely looking forward to The Girl From The Well. I love horror whether it’s YA or adult so can’t wait to get this one. I got 57 Lives of Alex Wayfare, last week I think, and yes, it’s good although I’ve had to put it down to read something else 🙁 I absolutely love the cover of The Night Gardener, that alone makes me want to read it now but the story sounds amazing too. In a weird coincidence I just reserved his first book, Peter Nimble and His Fantastic Eyes, at the library a few days ago and can’t wait for it to come in!

Enjoy your new books and happy reading 🙂

    • Me too! Super excited for some YA horror titles this year. I hope the genre continues to grow! Agree with everything else you said too. So excited for all of these books this week.

  3. Awesome haul, ladies! Excited about 57 Lives, especially since it hooked you from the get-go. Loved Cruel Beauty and The Unbound! Sucks that it took so long for your books to arrive, Bekka…it’s torture waiting for books anyway, but when they’re delayed, it’s even worse! Hope you enjoy all your new reads!

  4. Ahhhh, I am legitimately jealous about Mambo In Chinatown. I hope they approve me too, I loved Girl In Translation.

Auxier’s debut, Peter Nimble And His Fantastic Eyes is one of my favorite middle grade books of all time, so my hopes are high for the Night Gardener.

CRUEL BEAUTY!!!!!!! Good life choice, Bekka!

  5. Oh Kara, one of these days I want to do a vlog. I really haaaate the way my voice sounds on audio so I gotta practice a bit before I do it. I got Hungry too but I got it via NetGalley. I’m excited and a bit apprehensive about that book. Interesting concept that could be awesome or it could stink the big one.

Bekka, Cruel Beauty was full of crazy-awesomeness. I plan on buying a finished copy for myself ASAP.I gotta read Great soon.Planning on reading it this month. Barring any craziness, I should be able to fit it in sometime in the next few weeks.

    Great hauls ladies!

  6. Amy

Wow, what great books you ladies got!! I have been seeing The Girl From the Well lately and I totally need that book! Lol!! I have a few of the same books and can’t wait to get to them! Happy reading. Oh, and so glad to see a vlog from you Kara. It’s been too long.
