Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Winter TBR

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic: books on my Winter TBR.

It’s Kara. Lyn usually does Top Ten Tuesdays, but she hates topics like this, and I actually love them. So we switched days this week. I have a lot of books on my Winter TBR and they are all review books, because SOMEONE is behind on her ARCs like whoaaaa (though I am catching up after DNFing two last month). Soooo…ready to see what I am planning on working into my Winter reading list? YEAHHHH!

1. Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen- I normally read all my ARCs on a schedule. But there are very rare times when I make an exception and read a book early. Like when I get an ARC of the new Sarah Addison Allen book.

This is definitely on my Winter TBR. Favorite author alert! Oh, and also, begging publishers for ARCs works sometimes. But only when you do it for the rare book you MUST HAVE. Plus, I already pre-ordered a copy. I just couldn’t wait. I think I might read this next week. I just can’t find a reason to hold it off anymore.

2. Vicious by V.E. Schwab
3. Unbreathable by Hafsah Laziaf
4. Broken by CJ Lyons

5. Burning Paradise by Robert Charles Wilson
6. Horde by Ann Aguirre
7. Pawn by Aimee Carter

8. Racing Savannah by Miranda Kenneally
9. No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale
10. Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill

And those are the rest I have planned for the month of December and probably on into January. This is not ALL I plan to read. But these are probably in the next 20 books I read. Some of these books are loved, some not so much, but either way, I look forward to forming my own opinion of them.

Thoughts? Leave a link to your lists and I will come check them out.

  1. I can’t wait for you to get around to Lost Lake! I totally made an exception too and am actually reading it now and it’s just as wonderful as her past novels. 🙂

    • OH GOSH I AM SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT, BONNIE. The Peach Keeper was a little bit meh for me but I really loved the others. I have to finish Horde, read one other, and then I will be starting it. 🙂

  2. I’m really looking forward to the last three, Racing Savannah by Miranda Kenneally, No One Else Can Have You by Kathleen Hale, and Being Sloane Jacobs by Lauren Morrill. Great list!!!

  3. I almost put Pawn and Being Sloane Jacobs on my list this week. Pawn is totally out of my comfort zone, but for some reason it has me interested. And I’m hoping I like Being Sloane Jacobs better than Meant to Be. I liked it ok but wasn’t in love with it. I think it was partially bc the main girl annoyed me and said things like “MTB”.

Thanks for stopping by My TTT

    • Most of my friends really loved MTB and I bought it but haven’t read it yet. I have high expectations for Sloane because of that. I will be reading both at some point. 🙂

    • Yeah, a lot of people have disliked that one. I am withholding my opinion until I read it for myself because not all the reviews are negative. I don’t have a lot of hope.

  4. I ADORED Vicious. In fact, I wish I could read it again for the first time:) I love seeing a Robert Charles Wilson book on a blogger’s list. That’s an author I haven’t heard much about in quite a while. Great list, have fun with it! Here’s my Top Ten.

  5. You’ve got some really good, fun picks on here. Or some that I know are those things (Pawn, Being Sloane Jacobs) and some that I really hope are those things (Vicious, Horde). I cannot wait for you to read Pawn. I will be watching your twitter feed for reactions, because oh boy does Aimee Carter like a good plot twist.

I’ve never read a Sarah Addison Allen book. I have noticed her gorgeous covers, though. I see them all over the place too. Maybe it’s time to give in and give her books a try.
