top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a heme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic:Top Ten Best Sequels Ever.

Okay, so let’s talk about these elephants in the room today.

One: What happened on Friday at my ex’s house – GoodReads – left me feel very weary and downright apathetic.  Kara and I discussed stopping the memes for a while. But you know what helps during these times? Moving on. Going forward. Continuing, even when things are just downright sucky. So I decided to pound out this list. There are no links this week.  I am still new to BookLikes, and I hate to send any more traffic to GR or Amazon.

Two: It seems that I am horrible about following up a series.  I really struggled this this list.  So now I know that I need to get moving.

I can’t say these are the best, ever, but these are my personal picks for some awesome sequels.  Some are repeats, some books I have beat you people over the head, but here they are.  Enjoy.

  1. Catching Fire, The Titan’s Curse and The Last Olympian are fabulous picks! I have yet to read Rebel Hearts (which is weird because I loved Blood Red Road). I really need to get around to reading the Vampire Empire series… that sounds fabulous. Great list!!

  2. I haven’t seen many of those books before but YES! Catching Fire, The Last Olympian and The Titan’s Curse <3 The Mark of Athena was also amazeballs.

    Great picks, Lyn! <33

  3. I have not heard of the tillerman books yet. I will look them up. 2:I really want to read the vampire empire. I need. Tnx for the post

    • The Tillermen Family (or, Cycle) was very popular when I was in grade school. I still love them. Sad as hell, but they are awesome!

  4. Yeeaahh, I completely agree with Catching Fire, Titan’s Curse and The Last Olympian, those were some SOLID and epic sequels! I still need to read the Dustlands series and Unearthly Series though 🙂 Great top ten ^^
