Top Ten Tuesday: Books On My Autumn 2013 TBR List

September 17, 2013 Kara, Top Ten Tuesday 23

top ten tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a heme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic:  Top Ten Books On My Autumn 2013 TBR List.

Easy enough. Considering I am so behind in review books (SO SORRY, PUBLISHERS), all I will be reading through most of the fall season are review books. BUT, there are some awesome looking books I am really looking forward to! Lyn didn’t really want to participate in this week’s topic, so we are switching and she is doing Wednesday’s post while I do Top Ten Tuesday.

So, the books on my fall TBR list (separated by genre) are:

Fantasy:

2. Antigoddess by Kendare Blake
3. The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas

Engines of the Broken World by Jason Vanhee
And that’s it for me! There are some pretty exciting titles here I am looking forward to. I know some of these have already been read and loved by some well-respected bloggers. I cannot wait!

OMG our Fall TBR lists are almost the same!!I don’t have Horde, Kinslayer, or Antigoddess, but I have all the other ones to read!! Hoping that I can still get to them on time with starting my new job. That’s why I am taking a blogging break. I want to just try to keep up on reading and not worry about posting reviews for the next few weeks. It’s going to take some getting used to being out of the house all day.

I know. I am taking a few days here to catch up on my reading and hopefully I can make some progress because I am horribly behind right now. But I did finish three books in the last two days so I am getting somewhere here.

I hope you enjoy your blogging break and relaxing!

I have A LOT of these on my TBR list, too! I haven’t heard of Engines of the Broken World, but that sounds really good! I definitely need to add that to my ever growing list :)

  3. Ellis Henrika

This is a good list. I’m hoping to get to Antigoddess soon. I was a bit wary at first, but the reviews have been favourable, so I hope it delivers. I have both Enclave and Crewel and even though I haven’t read those yet, I have a feeling I’ll end up wanting to read both series entirely. I hope you have a great time reading these!

Yeah, the reviews for Antigoddess are first were sorta meh but then they picked up again. I am excited! Thanks, Ellis! The other two are great series. With some issues but still a lot of fun!

Gosh I’m dying to squeeze in Antigoddess too. This Song Will Save Your Life is so good and a very quick read. Still need to read Not a Drop to Drink and Altered as well… really looking forward to both of those though! Happy Reading!

  5. Wendy Darling

Antigoddess and Burning Sky are two books I definitely need to get ahold of sometime soon–and Fiery Heart for some Adrian love! September/October are SO busy, I don’t know why everything has to be jammed into these months, hah.

Engines of the Broken World looks AWESOME! I just tried to search for it on my library websites but then realized it’s not even released yet … it’ll be going on my wishlist for sure! And yay for Antigoddess!! I can’t wait to read that one!

    Enjoy your fall reads!

Not a Drop to Drink is definitely on my top-ten list! I can’t wait for that one. I’m also looking forward to Antigoddess because I love mythology and have heard good things; I haven’t actually read any of Kendare Blake’s books yet, but I will definitely be checking that one out as soon as I can. Great list!

This is a great list! I didn’t create one (even though I probably could’ve made my list at much more than ten and I love the topic). :( Mostly because I was afraid of putting too much pressure on myself if I did make one and named anything specific. I’d suddenly feel like I’d have to read the ones I listed and if I didn’t, I’d feel guilty. Lol. I know. I’m weird. :P
But I’m completely DYING for The Burning Sky. I don’t even care that I have about 50 unread books on the shelf right now–not including the NG and EW titles on the comp I need to get to also. Ha. I need that one and soon. First chance I get, I’m picking that pretty book up. :D

I keep hearing great things about Antigoddess. I also look forward to it. :)

I hear you about pressure. Thing is, these are all review books so they have to be read anyway so I just made my list that way.

The Burning Sky was so much fun!
