stacking the shelves

Welcome to Stacking the Shelves. Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga at Tynga’s Reviews. This is where we showcase books we have received or bought during the week.

It’s Kara again. I’m back! I haven’t been requesting many books because I am trying to get through the ones I have, so my hauls have been incredibly small and not worth posting about. So I skipped last week. This week’s haul is still pretty tiny but I thought I would post it anyway because I miss the Saturday post, even if putting it together is a lot of work with links and stuff.

Let’s get right to it then!

I bought:

There was a buy 2 get 3rd free sale at BAM.
The Lost Hours by Karen White
Eon by Alison Goodman
Eona by Alison Goodman
In E-book:

False Memory by Dan Krokos
There was a Kindle Deal.
For Review:

The Cute Girl Network by MK Reed, Greg Means, Joe Flood
Thank you to First Second Books

Gifted:

Proxy by Alex London
Thank you to the lovely Blythe at Finding Bliss in Books!

On the blog this week:

On Monday, Kara raved about Night Film by Marisha Pessl. This one is a must buy! Find the Amazon link here: Night Film: A Novel.

Top Ten Tuesday this week covered things that make our life as bloggers easier.

Wednesday, Kat Kennedy stopped by with a very funny list of her top eight expectations for BEA 2014.

On Thursday, Kara posted a review for Starglass by Phoebe North. Sadly, it was a disappointment.

Friday, Lyn posted a 5 star review for Pivot Point by Kasie West!

We had two 5 star books this week. Now how often does THAT happen?

Links we love:

Jamie at The Perpetual Page Turner talks about series burnout.

Betty at Book Rock Betty talks about going braless and how it is good for your health! It is. Let the girls OUT!

Belle at Belle’s Bookshelf reviews (hilariously) the horribly bad Mortal Instruments movie.

Jenni at Alluring Reads talks about her least favorite things about blogging.

Christina at A Reader of Fictions talks about the ten people that make blogging awesome for her. Hint: Yours truly made that list. 😀

  1. I haven’t been requesting eARCs of the late as I am trying to get on to of my TBR pile- which clearly doesn’t seem to be working. I hope you like Eon!

    Happy reading, Kara! <33

  2. Ahh Proxy and False Memory look so good! I have to read both, I’ve seen so many good reviews for both recently! I hope you enjoy them 🙂

    Fantastic haul, Kara!

  3. Fabulous links! Fabulous books! Fabulous posts! Omg, it’s like all I can say is “fabulous” right now I swear I am actually often surprisingly articulate when not over-using that word. <3

  4. Oooh… I think Proxy sounds awesome! You’ll have to let me know how you like it!! Is False Memory more middle grade or YA? I got False Sight at BEA and was tempted to buy False Memory, but then someone said it is Middle Grade so wasn’t sure I wanted to buy it. Thx for mentioning my boobs post. haha

    • Betttttyyyy! I love your blog. To the death! I think it is closer to middle grade but I am not sure. All I know is that most of my blogger friends loved it.

      I loved your boobs post!
