So I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I recently got a new blog design. If you haven’t noticed, here is a list of optometrists you need to look in to. But anyway, so I got Giselle over at Xpresso Reads and Xpresso Design to do my work. I had been looking for a new web designer for several months now and I was on the fence about all of them until I saw her work.
I knew what I wanted. But I also knew that only a certain designer could do it. It had to be bold but not corny, not cartoonish (and a lot of designers are too cartoonish for me), and I knew that what I wanted would be all in the script and header. A lot of blogs have a girl or character in the banner and I knew I didn’t want that. I was never 100% about a designer until I saw her work. I loved what she did for Jenni at Alluring Reads and then when I saw the graphics she did for Tara at Finding Wonderland and saw how dramatic it was without being overdone, I just KNEW I had to go with her. So I contacted her and made the leap.
Working with Giselle has been one of the easiest and most enjoyable experiences in my entire blogging history. She asked me what I wanted and made sure to check with me and get answers to all my AND her questions, but that’s not why I liked working with her the most. The best part was that I felt like she really knew me and knew what I wanted. She has this sixth sense for knowing what her client is asking for. Talk to any of the bloggers/authors she has worked with and you will see I am not the only one who feels this way.
Needless to say, I love my design. I love it so much I may have teared up when I saw it. It is SO me and it was exactly what I was looking for. I finally feel like my blog is a part of me and an extension of who I am. I can’t imagine going to anyone else for my blog work, and I think a couple of years down the road when it is time to revamp, if Giselle is still working, then she will be the designer I return to.
To celebrate her work and my new blog design, Xpresso Design is offering you guys a chance to win a $20.00 gift certificate toward any Xpresso Design work. Want a new blog button? A social media pack? Meme banners? Or do you want to put $20.00 toward a new design and use it as a coupon? You can do that too.
Not only that, but Giselle has offered the winner a $10.00 in books from The Book Depository. One winner, one prize. You get it all. This is, of course, International.
