This Means So Much To Me

I want to share something with you guys. I got this in the mail yesterday from the lovely Jennifer Sommersby, someone I consider a good friend. She’s also an extremely talented author. Here it is in pictures.

My Copy Finished Copy of Sleight.
And it’s signed!
With a Lovely Message That Made This Girl Tear Up.
Here’s Me, In My Bedroom, With The Book.
It means the world to me. You have no idea. Thanks Jenn.
Please support your indie authors. Buy a copy of Sleight from Amazon here: Sleight: Book One of the AVRA-K.

  1. AAAAAHHHHHHH! Kara, aka Jessica Rabbit! My darling! I could’ve written a whole chapter on the reasons I appreciate you and your support for Sleight, but alas, I’m supposed to be working on FEWER words. You *are* super fabulous, and I AM grateful to Twitter as it has introduced me to some of the most incredible humans on the planet. Can you IMAGINE how sad and lonely I would’ve been these last few months without you to make me laugh? And Kendall and Carissa and all these nutbars I fall in love with every single time I log on? Thanks, man, so much, for all your support and cheerleading. One of these days, when we’re sitting on a beach in the south of France sipping girlie drinks and ogling the cabana boys (they have those in France, right?), we’re going to look back on these moments and smile. And then we’ll order another round of drinks. And maybe some fresh French bread. How I love bread… “Oh, garcon!” xoxo

  2. The book is beautiful. You and Jenn are both beautiful. How exciting! Best of luck to Jenn with the book. I already bought a copy. I hope to actually read it one day when I can scrape together a few hours. I know it’s totally awesome!

  3. Ugh. Guys I love you both soooo much! Kendall I cannot wait to support you in the same way and you know I will! Jenn, you were one of the first people I met on Twitter, so that will stick with me forever. It’s an amazing tool and I love how it brings people together. I can’t even remember what my life WAS before I started blogging and hanging with you guys online. It’s fabulous! I could say so much more, but I hope to meet y’all in person someday. I adore you both!!

  4. Reminder: I have given birth to four children. I live in the Pacific Northwest where we are all vitamin D deficient, and thus, as pale as vampires. (That’s why no one notices the Cullens or their creepy golden eyes…hey…wait a second…why ARE there eyes that color?). THERE WILL BE NO NUDITY FOR THIS BODY. I just don’t want to scare everyone on the French Riviera. I don’t think there are enough defibrillators in the country to save folks on that beach should I show up in the buff…

  5. Hi Carissa!! I <3 you too! I’m glad you love Sleight Carissa. It’s really a great book. I’m gonna have to do a re-read soon.

Thanks for calling me cute! I like cute. That works. LOL

  6. Kreag- Thank you for the huge compliment. That’s why I do what I do. I have so much passion for this and it friggin means the world to me when readers say stuff like this.

Sleight was one of the first indie books that I ever reviewed and it will always hold a special place in my heart. Please do tell me what you think of it. I can’t wait to hear about it!

  7. Aww that is so sweet! I love it when people are so nice, and you are the best for sharing this sweet moment with your followers. It made me smile, so thanks, Kara. And I definitely think you deserve it, seeing as I’ve noticed how supportive you are of your indie writers. šŸ˜‰
