It’s time for the sixth update & mini-challenge! This challenge is brought to you by Ambur. Here’s your challenge: Put two characters from different series together (romantically or otherwise) and describe why they would be good together.

Update:

  • Total Books Read: 2
  • Total Pages Read: 599
  • Books Read Since Last Update: 0
  • Pages Read since last update: 0
  • Total time read: 12 hours
  • Currently Reading: The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
  • How I’m currently feeling: Tired. I just woke up and I have a bit of a headache.

Here’s my update and mini challenge answer.

Ashline from Wildefire by Karsten Knight and Finley Jane from The Girl in the Steel Corset by Kady Cross. Both kick-ass girls and amazing people who would make an amazing team and I think have a lot in common. Except the fact that they live indifferent decades. Oh well.

So I started late because I didn’t wake up until 10:30. But from here on out, I’m going to read my little tail off. I took something for my headache and hopefully I’ll be good to go. It’s not too bad and I do hope it will go away soon. So here’s my update and challenge.

Update:

  • Total Books Read: 2
  • Total Pages Read: 671
  • Books Read Since Last Update: 0
  • Pages Read since last update: 72
  • Total time read: 13 1/2 Hours
  • What I’m currently reading: The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
  • How I’m currently feeling: Much more alert than before. Ready to have a great reading day!

It’s time for the seventh update & mini-challenge! Here’s your challenge: Name one book you think should be taught in school, grade of your choice.

So I’m going to go with our lovely host and definitely say The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. I definitely agree with her choice and I can probably say I would have picked that on my own. For my other choice though, I’m going to go with The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Fabulous, fabulous book and I think it teaches some great lessons and it’s still enjoyable which is what required reading has to be for kids to get something out of it. It’s also a clean read. So those are my two choices. I’m interested to see what others have picked.

I got a good amount of reading done this time. I’m moving along quickly and I hopefully will be done with this book soon. My headache is gone. Phew. Update time!

  • Pages Read since last update: 88

It’s time for the eighth update & mini-challenge! Here’s your challenge: If you had bookshelves FULL of all of your favorite books, how would you organize them?

If I had bookshelves of all of my favorite books I would definitely organize them by author. I am an author lover and when I find an author I love I generally read most of, if not all of their books.

This was really fun. For this challenge I had to go to this page and create an anagram of my name. I included my middle name since I thought the anagram was better. Here is what it came up with.

Not great but the last two words are kind of funny as I do have a maniacal crack. And trust me, you don’t  wanna know. Now for the update.
Update:
  • Total Books Read: 2
  • Total Pages Read: 834
  • Books Read Since Last Update: 0
  • Pages Read since last update: 75

  • How I’m currently feeling: Great! This is always the high point of my day. When I start to feel my best. Late afternoon until bedtime. I am not a morning person. The good news is that I am almost done with this book and have my next book picked out and ready to go.

  • Pages Read since last update: 129
  • Total time read: 18 1/2 hours.

  • How I’m currently feeling: Hungry. I have the munchies like crazy and I’m thinking about making a Wendy’s run right after this.
It’s time for the tenth update & mini-challenge! Here’s your challenge: Tell me, what is the funniest/most inspiring thing you have read so far in the read-a-thon?

Well yesterday I read two really heavy books, so I would have to say The Girl Who Chased the Moon because it was more of an uplifting book about family and relationships. And her books always have a way of making me feel like the differences we all share aren’t that really different at all. I know, how cheesy am I?
